Background:
When our daughter, Callie was born, the newborn bliss came to a quick halt just weeks after birth. As parents, we wanted to do everything possible to help our daughter have the best life she can. We went to a variety of speciality clinics, but Gillette is the specialty clinic we proudly call our second home. From EEGs that lead to a seizure diagnosis, to surgeries, to illnesses we have been unable to fight at home, Gillette has always been our go to place where we know she is in the best hands.
Our motivation:
Throughout the years the holidays have been so magical with our growing family. As the years fly by, we always find ourselves wanting to go bigger during the holidays. Navigating foreign territory with a daughter who is disabled due to an undiagnosed genetic condition has been challenging… but also our motivator to bring more magic not only into our world, but others as well. Jeff had the brilliant idea to do a light show and Ashley agreed knowing the happiness and excitement it will bring to many families including our own.
We thought that by bringing happiness and magic into other peoples lives, why not give back to Gillette - who continues to show care and compassion towards the children and families in their care. They have helped us navigate a world we were never prepared to be a part of, but have grown great compassion and understanding towards. For that, we are forever grateful.
