WE DID IT!!! THE MATCH HAS BEEN MET!!!!! THANK YOU ALL!

Let’s cut to the chase!

*I’ve been growing out my hair during the pandemic.  (Primarily to annoy my wife!)

*For the most part, my friends and family DO NOT like my new look!

*So, if I am going to cut my hair I want something in exchange!

*So, I decided to launch Chuck’s Cut For Rett

Background:

My daughter was diagnosed with Rett syndrome in 2000 when she was 2 years old.   Since then, my family has been very involved in raising awareness and funds to support Rett syndrome research.   The funds raised from my haircut will support the Rett syndrome clinic at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul MN.  This clinic was launched in 2005 and is designated as a Center of Excellence for care and research related to Rett syndrome.

Rett syndrome is a rare genetic disorder.  There are about 8,000 cases in the United States.  The gene in question plays a key role in a babies development.   When that gene cannot function properly the child cannot meet their milestones.  This means that my daughter is non-verbal, has no purposeful hand skills and cannot walk without assistance.  Other issues include uncontrolled seizures, scoliosis, irregular breathing and digestive complications all of which my daughter has had to deal with.

My goal:

I am not cutting my hair for chump change!  The goal is to raise $2,000, minimum!

The challenge:

The individual that makes the highest donation will get to actually cut off my man bun!

The details:

Make your donation today here!  Place your highest and best donation right out of the gate if you want control of the scissors!

If we don’t reach the $2,000 goal, I will not be cutting my hair.  This means my wife will NOT be happy!

The haircut will take place on Thursday, July 1, at 6:15pm in Faribault, MN.  If the top donor cannot make it, my wife will be their backup. Donations must be received by June 30th, 2021.
